Meet The Pug Pack!

Today on the Farm: Meet the Pug Pack

Life here at Curley's Creek is full of the sounds of the farm—the goats calling, the chickens clucking, and the quiet hum of the homestead. But there’s another, distinct sound that’s just as much a part of our daily lives: the chorus of happy snorts, insistent grumbles, and thumping tails that belongs to our resident pug pack.

While the goats may be the heart of our business, our four pugs are the heart of our home. They have their own set of very important jobs, the most crucial being their role as the official Package Inspection Team. No box, bag, or parcel enters this house without a thorough sniff-down and a wiggle of approval from each member. Their second-most important duty? The welcome committee. They’ve somehow learned the specific phone notification that signals one of us is on our way home, and the greetings of pure, snorting, full-body excitement are the best part of any day.

So, allow us to introduce our furry supervisors:

It all starts with Maynard, our six-year-old patriarch.

He’s the father of half the pack and a bit of an attention-starved old soul who firmly believes the best part of any day involves lap snuggles and long back scratches.

Maynard’s daughter, Frances, is a big, beautiful, chubby girl with a personality to match her size.

She has a special bond with our middle son and has even learned to “speak” when she wants to make her opinion known!

Her brother, Chuck, is our only black pug, a trait he gets from his wonderful mother, Verdis, who passed several years ago.

While Chuck has a much more chill and less needy personality than the others, don't let it fool you—he can be more playful than any of them. We see so much of his mother's playful spirit in him, especially her love for a good game of tug-of-war.

Rounding out the crew is our youngest, Nala.

At just one year old, she is the sweetest, goofiest, and by far the most mischievous puppy. She brings a fresh wave of playful energy to the pack, and her favorite thing in the world is to roll over for a good belly rub.

From the wise old man to the goofy puppy, each one brings a unique spark of joy and chaos to our lives on the farm. They keep us laughing, keep our feet warm, and remind us to stop and enjoy the simple things. This is just a quick hello from the pug pack, but we can’t wait to share more of their individual stories with you down the road!
